In September 2019 we launched our third competition and we wanted to go further than before. We originally started promotion with schools across Hertfordshire, but in January 2020 decided to open up to student filmmakers across England who we discovered through various Facebook groups and university societies.
We received a wide range of entrants including music videos, story based films and a few documentaries too.
In total, we received 12 entrants which were subsequently shortlisted to 9, considerably more than our original plan but the quality was simply outstanding! The films were presented to our audience and live-streamed across Facebook for those that couldn't be with us on the night. All entrants received feedback from our panel of judges, including Justin Doherty, Miranda Hamilton and Paul McEvoy (remotely).
