2022
In 2022 we expanded even further than before - with over 620 films submitted from student filmmakers from around the world!
Thanks to pandemic restrictions easing we were delighted to return to having an in-person local showcase and also an online international awards ceremony. Audiences and our panel of judges: Saffron Weaver, Tom Brownlee, Emma Darcy and Mel Powell were astounded by the quality of the cinematography and ideas from all of our filmmakers.
We were also delighted to welcome celebrity film critic Mark Kermode for a zoom masterclass interview with festival founder Jake Andrews. The discussion covered everything from getting into the industry to pet peeve's of film. The event can be viewed on our YouTube channel.
