2023
In 2023 we received over 1100 entries (almost double 2022!) from students worldwide.
We were delighted to have our biggest in-person and online audiences since the festival began.
Our local showcase saw 5 filmmakers based in Hertfordshire and surrounding counties introduce their film and here live feedback from our panel of judges, Henry Eaglesfield and Roz Barnes. As ever the quality was amazing and students really benefitted from the feedback provided. The committee were pleased to award Finley Bryant, a local student, with a special commendation for his dedication to the craft.
For our international awards we enjoyed 6 winning films across the categories listed above. Since our judges were so good last year we were excited to have them back for this year, Saffron Weaver and Emma Darcy. We were also delighted to welcome celebrity film composer Michael Price as a guest judge for the music for film category.
