2024
2024 saw another record-breaking year in terms of number of entries (1437) from students worldwide.
At our in-person local event, it was fantastic to see an audience made up of finalists, their friends and family as well as members of the public interested in all things short film.
Our local showcase saw 5 filmmakers based in Hertfordshire and surrounding counties introduce their film and hear live feedback from our panel of judges, Luke Luna Kitteridge, Richard Wood and Charlie Hughes. As ever the quality was amazing and students really benefitted from the feedback provided. The committee were pleased to award two special commendations to local students Zakariya Al-Bashar and Matty Muir.
For our international awards we enjoyed 6 winning films across the categories listed above. We were delighted to welcome back two Buntingford Shorts alumni, Emmanuel Li and Max Shoham, along with Jed Wagman as our esteemed panel of judges. Their feedback was really insightful and gave the finalists lots to think about!
